Our ParentsAt Ku-ring-gai Creative Arts High School, we are privileged to enjoy excellent community support from our parents and staff – all of whom are committed to developing the best possible learning environment for our students. P&C AssociationThe Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association meets on the second Monday of each month, providing a regular open forum in which parents and local citizens can discuss matters relevant to the education, social and financial welfare of the school and wider community. An elected parent representative heads our P&C, supported by a committee of dedicated parents, who, together with the School Principal and Executive Team, strive to maintain the highest standards for each and every child. The school's P&C is an excellent resource. It is a welcoming committee for new parents, and a fountain of useful information. Early each year, the P&C hosts a friendly, informal Welcome Event for new parents which provides an opportunity for them to meet other families and mix with members of the school community. Parent/teacher evenings and information nights provide additional opportunities for parents and members of the faculty to interact. On these occasions parents can talk to staff about the academic progress of their son or daughter, or obtain advice on subject selections. Parent HelpersWe are always interested to hear from parents who are able to spare a little time to assist in vocational/environmental education, work experience, the school canteen, sports coaching or helping to organise or facilitate any of our many events, performances and exhibitions in the local community. (See also Creative Arts Committee section) We are always grateful for the generous assistance that the school community receives from parents, both present and past. |
